Carmine Appice Biography
Carmine Appice, a pioneering hard-rock drummer, was born in Staten Island, New York on December 15, 1946.

Carmine has played in numerous popular rock 'n roll bands.

He has a illustrious career that spans over thirty years.

He started his professional career in 1967 with The Vanilla Fudge. Carmine and 'Vanilla Fudge' bass player Tim Bogert then formed Cactus together in 1970.

In 1973, Carmine and Tim Bogert formed Beck, Bogart, Appice (also called "BBA") with Jeff Beck.

Carmine Appice was also a member of KGB, CBA, and Rod Stewart's band in the '70s and '80s. (Carmine co-wrote Rod Stewart's number one hit "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy?" in February 1979).

In 1989, he was part of the trio Blue Murder with John Sykes and Tony Franklin.
Later, Carmine and Tony Franklin joined Naomi Tamura and Kenji Kitajima in the Japanese band Pearl.

Carmine Appice's ever-present thunderous drumming has made him a popular drummer with both fans and fellow musicians, who seek him out to play on their albums.
