  • Came to Japan for the first time on tour with BBA.
    Sold out shows at the Budokan.
  • Recorded the album BBA "Live In Japan".
  • BBA "Live In Japan" sold 100,000 copies.

  • Carmine did alot of interviews with Maki for Carmen Maki Record.
    Appeared in many Japanese magazines with Maki.
  • Came to Japan with Rod Stewart.
    The hit song "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy?" was #1 in Japan!
    This tour was 6 nights at the Budokan, and other shows in Osaka and Fukuoka!
  • Carmine did a Ludwig Drum Clinic in Tokyo with 2000 fans present.
  • Carmen Maki Record sold 20,000 - 30,000 copies.

  • Carmine came to Japan for the "Rock Super Session, Vol. I" with Tom Peterson, Eric Carmen, Rick Derringer, and Duane Hitchings.
    Played at the Budokan in Tokyo, Osaka, and other cites.
    Carmine did his famous "Disappearing Drum Solo" for the first time on this tour!
  • Carmine released his first solo record on the Warner Bros label along with this tour.

  • Came to Japan with the band "Blue Murder", along with John Sykes and Tony Franklin.
    They played in Tokyo in front of 12,000 fans for two nights.

  • Tour with Lone Ranger with members Carmine, Jeff Watson, Bob Daisley, and Will Seltzer-Singer.
    Later, a group called Mothers Army was added to the tour line-up.

1995
  • Did two records for Apollion in 1994-95.
  • Carmine and Kelly Keeling came to Japan to promote "Carmine Appice's Guitar Zeus I" featuring Carmine, Kelly Keeling and Tony Franklin with solos by Slash, Brian May, Yngwie Malmsteen, Steve Morse, Mick Mars and more!
    Was featured in many Japanese magazine and radio shows.
  • "Carmine Appice's Guitar Zeus I" was released in August. It sold well; reached #3 in "Burrn!" magazine's charts, and the Top-40 in Japanese national charts!
  • Made an appearance at a Tokyo music fair, and did a five-city Mapex Clinic Tour.

  • In July, Carmine, Tony Franklin, Kenji Kitajima, and Shota recorded their first CD on the Polydor label...the band "Pearl" was born!
    A music video was done in L.A.
    Hit songs: "Everybody Tears", and "Lay Your Hands On Me".

1997
  • In January, "Pearl" did a promotion tour for the release of "East Meets West".
    Appeared on most Japanese TV and radio shows.
  • Pearl's CD was released in early February, and it broke in the charts at #9 and went up to #7!
    "Pearl" received a Gold record for this!
  • Rehearsals and a tour of Japan with Pearl. The tour went to Osaka, Nagoya, and Tokyo....where they played for a crowd of 5,000 fans!
  • "Guitar Zeus II" was released on the Polydor Records label.
    It includes solos by: Richie Sambora, Paul Gilbert, "Kenny" Kitajima, and more...unfortunately, Polydor didn't promote this record properly.
  • In October, a live video was released featuring Carmine's "disappering drum solo".

  • New Pearl CD, titled "4 Infinity", and a video were recorded in February.
  • A five-week promotional tour started in June. Pearl was on "Love, Love" and other Japanese music TV shows.
  • Pearl did the video for the song "Jealousy".
  • Pearl did an 11 city tour of Japan.

  • Carmine came to Japan for Vanilla Fudge's first tour of Tokyo!
  • Vanilla Fudge jammed with Char and Hatake.
  • Carmine signed a new record deal with Rock Records Japan for the album "Carmine Appice / Guitar Zeus Japan".
  • In March and April, recording began for "Carmine Appice / Guitar Zeus Japan", with Japanese guitarists: Char, Hatake, Akira (of the band "Loudness"), "Kenny" Kitajima, and more.
  • Promotional tour of Japan for "Carmine Appice / Guitar Zeus Japan" in July.
  • A five-city promotional tour of Japan doing in-store appearances, and clinics started in September.
  • In November, Carmine did a four-city Mapex Drum Clinic tour.
  • In December, Char, Tim Bogert, and Carmine did an 11 night tour of Japan as the band "CBA".
    They played for a crowd of 10,000 fans at the Budokan!
    Every night was recorded!

  • On February 3rd, Carmine came to Tokyo to do a "Tribute To Rock Bands Of Japan" CD, along with T.M. Stevens and Hiroya...to be released in September 2002.
  • Carmine did two drum clinics for MI / ESP schools. One clinic in Tokyo on February 8th and the other in Osaka on February 9th.
